Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Introduction
UniList ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.
Information We Collect
Usage Data
Saved-program identifiers and your analytics preference stay in browser storage. If account access is enabled and you create an account, UniList processes your email, password hash, verification state, and profile fields needed for that service.
Analytics
Optional PostHog analytics loads only after you accept. Autocapture, user identification, and session replay are disabled. The event allowlist removes free-text search, contact, URL, error, and profile values before capture. No Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, or OneDollarStats script is loaded by the application.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain our website
- Improve and optimize our platform
- Understand how users interact with our content
- Monitor website performance and technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations
Cookies
Optional PostHog analytics uses local storage and similar technologies only after consent. Declining analytics does not disable UniList comparison, search, or browsing features. You can clear the `unilist-analytics-consent` browser-storage entry to reset your choice.
Community-source safeguards
Public community evidence contains reviewed summaries and source links, never author identifiers or cached post text. Raw text is kept outside the public dataset for no longer than 48 hours. Publication requires two independent evidence contexts and a deletion reconciliation completed within 24 hours. Personal data, named-person claims, high-risk allegations, and copied source text are rejected by the publication gate; an editorial decision must record privacy and legal-risk review.
Third-Party Services
We may employ third-party companies and services to facilitate our website, provide services on our behalf, or assist us in analyzing how our website is used. These third parties have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to request correction of inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to object to processing of your data
- The right to data portability

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
